South Dakota - Day 1 & 2 Badlands

Off we go! After months of planning, we were finally off and on our way!

Our first leg of the trip brought us to Sioux Falls (not very interesting). We stayed over night at a hotel and then headed out to the badlands.

Our first view

Holy heck! I'm in love! Mark had seen the badlands when he was little but the rest of us were totally overwhelmed. It's amazing!

Trying to figure out what the ground is made of.

Our resident mountain goat.

Leify looks uninterested:)

Laker boy is always smiling!

We didn't see any, much to Oliver's disappointment.

Gah! Can you believe this is a real place on earth?!

Leaving the park we had a big horned sheep run right out in front of us. It was too quick for me to catch it but the boys got an up close view of that awesome creature.

Our first night of camping was spent in this fun teepee.
I'm so glad we kicked off the trip this way. Definitely a memorable experience for the boys.

Stretching our legs at a nearby park

A little putt putt to keep the natives from getting restless.

Finn got the first hole-in-one!

Oliver was close behind!

And Weston decided that climbing through the course was more fun than actually playing the game.

These are some of my favorite pics from this trip...
