Beach hike

We're so determined to get away from the city, that sometimes, I rather forget just how beautiful the lakefront is. 

We live less than two miles (as the crow flies) and yet, we rarely find ourselves near enough to hear the waves. 

On this day we took advantage of our proximity. Our time was well spent.
