Homeschool Snapshot: Seasonal Tree Journal

We've been learning about plants for school, and today we started recording the changes that our maple will undergo during this seasonal transition. 

First the boys had to journal about what they saw.

Next what they felt and heard. What kinds of animals are using our tree as a home?

Finn observed a cool knot peeking out from a buried root. 

Leif and Laiken took turns tasting the tree. Yum!

Finally they measured the girth. 115 inches!
