9 kids
Recently when a friend had to go out of town, she aske me to watch her four kiddos.
Normally the sound of 9 kids for 9 hours would be scary, but these kids are especially wonderful and the day went off without a hitch!
These two belong on a stage.
The Nutcracker with Grandma and the Girls
My mom treated Oliver and Finn to a ballet of The Nutcracker, followed by a sleep-over.
The Nutcracker just happens to be one of Oliver's all time favorite performances. They both had a blast and had lots of stories the next day.
Decorating The Tree
Our tree went through a sort of metomorphosis after we finished decorating it. We started with four strands of lights and breakable ornaments on the top with kid-friendly ornaments on the bottom. However, the twins quickly proved that kid friendly meant fair game.
I think Finley looked forward to decorating more than any of the boys. Ever methodical, serious, he gave special care and thought to the placement of every piece.
After some rearranging, we had a half naked tree, but everyone still had fun decorating.

Finished. Melby style.

Christmas tree hunting
This year we opted for a live tree.
The hunt began....

Daddy had to lend a hand and finally....timber!
