Appliance Tip - Gas Dryers

One word, SCARY. We'll never buy one. Why? They literally have an open flame. My husband recently opened a dryer to repair it and found a blanket of lint covering the base (not uncommon). However, he lifted it up to find a second layer of burnt lint that had caught fire at some point, undetected.

Appliance Tip - Washing Machine

HE or oldie. Despite the design, you don't need to be using so much soap. You could practically cut it down by a third of the recommended amounts. That's saving a lot of extra loads worth of detergent.

Appliance Tip - Dishwashers

Did you know...
-You should always fill both soap cups. Don't be cheap! If you don't, expect to have to re-wash dishes.

-Most soaps require a water temp of about 140 to properly breakdown/dissolve.

Oliver the Chef!

If asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Oliver will quickly answer, " a chef". He's maintained this answer for quite some time.
On this night Oliver was given the task of making us dinner. His entrée of choice? Tacos!
He prepared each ingredient with a level of seriousness that is only seen in true artists. As he honed his skills, I watched and helped as needed, but I was thoroughly impressed at his abilities. We bake a lot but cooking seems a like a higher level a maturity.
It was delish and beautifully plated. Good job Oliver! I give it a 5 star rating!
